summertime is birthday time. as stated in previous blogs, whats better than a custom illustration? to a kid, well, everything.. but one day they may appreciate it, if it lasts the day that is.

very nice picture...but i dont get it.
funny when you and your manager think (or over think as it were) an image, so that you both have a clear and concise idea of what the image means. but i sometimes forget that not everyone in the artworld has time to stare and share over a piece. so says a creative editor from the toronto sun.." very nice picture... but i dont get it. "
birthday presents
One of the joys and downfalls of being an illustrator is the income cashflow gets delegated to trivial things like bread and coca cola, so when it comes for family's birthdays, a painting or two is what they get! Highlight was giving the mecca inspired mobile assault land crawler to my nephew and him replying: thanks uncle scott, now where is my present? to which i replied: "I brought pie!"
In other news, I am not really a Dr. Who fan, so when i posted the painting of david tennant for my super fan-regressing to teenage lust-for simon le bon.. sister, my friends pontificated on latest or classic episodes that they loved, to which i played along, saying yeah, i loved the one when he ran real fast and jumped alot... that one was good!
